Wedding Ceremony Music

A wedding wouldn’t be a wedding without, of course, a memorable ceremony. Whether religious, humanist or otherwise, a form of celebration focused on the couple is the epicentre and beginning of memory-making with friends, family and loved ones. With The Irish Bluegrass Band, we have a very broad selection of suitable material for this part of the day.

If you are going for the traditional church environment we have a repertoire of old hymns and gospel songs that suit the occasion and setting. We can sing gospel songs in two-, three- or four-part harmony or, alternatively, play these songs as instrumentals. And, speaking of instrumentals, we also have at our disposable many beautiful Irish and American/Gospel airs that can be played without singing, if required. Adding to the dynamics of the occasion, we often like to step out of our usual bluegrass instrumentation (banjo, mandolin, guitar and double bass) and utilise the multi-faceted talents of our members.

In this light, arrangements can be put together using tin whistle, wooden flute and violin in any combination with the above. Of course, if the ceremony is a little off the beaten track and you would rather a different vibe to the usual airs and hymnals, we can provide a great variety of love songs (both sacred, secular or personal) in a myriad of different instrumental and vocal arrangements.

The real beauty of booking your ceremony with us, however, is that we will learn and perfect and particular instrumentals or songs in arrangements that you request too. So whether you want Amazing Grace, Raglan Road, In My Life (The Beatles) or anything in between, The Irish Bluegrass Band have you covered.
